B and I headed to Raleigh on Friday. It was a nice little getaway for us.  The city has so much character that I took for granted when I lived there.  We spent our day eating brunch with friends, visiting the farmer’s market (which has grown tremendously in recent years), watching a movie, and dining at our favorite resturant in town, Neomonde.

Neomonde is truly a gem. They have the most delicious Lebanese “deli” food,  freshly baked pita bread, and a wonderful little grocery section full of dates, halva, tahini, olives, and so forth. I always have the hardest time choosing what to order. Today I had the falafel and Bryant had a sort of chicken pita wrap. Dessert was walnut baklava.  If you are in the area and have not been you must go–it is the best.
