up for dinner

we had a wonderful, much needed catch-up dinner with our good friends/downstairs neighbors josh & becky last weekend. on the menu? alaskan salmon (wild caught by josh and becky), green beans, german johnson tomato (picked up at a roadside stand) and chevre pastry, and lemon bars. it was so delicious and a wonderful way to spend a saturday evening.

as for the pastry recipe–it was adapted from Sarah Foster’s book “Casual Cooking”. It’s so easy and so delicious!  Just tomatoes, puff pastry, goat cheese, and a bit of olive oil. Voila.
