I keep hearing about really unconventional jobs that my friends have landed (ie; vineyard consultants? a chef at a boutique restaurant? among others….). See above? That cute lady is a cupcake baker in Los Alamos, CA. Her bakery (which offers wine-flavored cupcakes) resides in that vintage trailer. Oh– it happens to be in the middle of a vineyard. There are others: budget travel writer for the NY times; Cadbury chocolate taster; urban garden designer; book cover designer….
These discoveries have reawakened my sensitivity to the opportunity for innovation that comes along with being an American. Opportunity that has persisted even during a terrible time for the global economy. There aren’t many places in the world where (relatively speaking) the only limits to job creation are your own creativity and drive.
