Espana! en breve

I look forward to spending more time in Spain. At this point, I’ve only seen little portions of it for brief periods — Granada and Almeria (in the South) in college, and now Madrid. I’d say that the day we spent in Madrid is a top 5 day. The highlights? Moroccan lunch at Al Jaima – Cocina del Desierto on Calle Barbieri, walking around the sunny parks, and watching Real Madrid versus Barcelona in the Central Market. We stayed there for hours enjoying the game and talking to people. Every so often one of us would get a different order of 1 Euro tapas — Jamon Iberica, farm cheese, traditional tortas, and glasses of Sangria. We stayed out Spanish-style, until the early hours of the morning, and finally fell asleep on the floor of Terminal 4.
