It’s almost laughable that this is one of my favorite holiday foods, as it’s not very fancy and it’s oh so easy to make. I love it.
CRANBERRY ORANGE RELISH
2 bags of fresh cranberries, rinsed
2 oranges, washed
1/2 cup of walnuts
1-2 cups of sugar
1) In a food processor, finely chop the cranberries. Repeat with oranges (including the zest).
2) Mix fruit in a large bowl, slowly adding sugar*
3) Mix in chopped walnuts
*Add more or less sugar, depending on your preference. The sweeter version is nice for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, but a healthier, tarter version can be made for everyday by adding a little less sugar.
